Who you reach

WalletWaypoint readers arrive from search with a decision already in hand: a renter comparing what they can afford across cities, a first-time buyer looking for a lender and a down-payment program, a saver comparing APYs, a household planning an early retirement. Our pages rank for product-intent searches such as high APY savings account and best mortgage lenders for first-time buyers, and nearly all of our traffic is in the United States.

We are a small, independent site, and we price accordingly. What you get is a placement on a page a reader found because they were actively choosing, written by a named author with a real finance background, on a site that discloses every paid relationship.

How sponsored content works here

WalletWaypoint is a personal-finance site, so paid placements follow FTC and Google guidelines without exception. These terms are not negotiable:

  • Labeled. Every paid placement carries a visible “Sponsored” label and a plain-language note that the partner paid for it. Outbound links use rel="sponsored".
  • Ranking is not for sale. Our editorial picks are ordered on the merits. A sponsored entry sits after them, and there is one per list. We do not sell positions.
  • We write it. You provide approved copy points and a target URL; we write the entry in our voice. Requirements that change what a reader actually earns or pays (direct-deposit thresholds, balance tiers, promotional windows) are stated up front, not in a footnote.
  • We keep editorial control. We update rates and requirements as they change. We can remove a placement if the product is discontinued or materially changed, if its rate falls well below the rest of the list, or in the event of regulatory action. Removal inside a paid term is refunded pro rata.
  • Terms and payment. Placements run for a fixed term and renew at the then-current rate; a placement that is not renewed comes down. Payment is due up front by invoice, before anything is published.
  • What we decline. Link exchanges, followed links, undisclosed placements, “guest posts” written by the advertiser, and any product we would not put in front of a reader in that situation.

Affiliate partnerships

We also work on a performance basis, directly and through networks such as Impact, CJ, and FlexOffers. If your program pays per funded account or qualified lead, we are glad to layer a tracking link onto any placement above, or to add your product to a comparison on the merits with no placement fee at all when it belongs there.
